2. Data categories and purposes

• System preferences: game, FPS, resolution, budget and selected components, used to generate recommendations and improve the service.
• Account details: if accounts are used, email, name and session details, used to manage and secure the account.
• Contact submissions: name, email address, subject and message text, used to answer support, correction, partnership and data-protection requests.
• Retailer clicks: retailer, component category, destination domain and time, used to measure referral performance.
• Technical logs: hosting security and error logs, used to maintain security and resolve failures.

3. Collection and legal basis

Data is collected automatically through the web interface and server operations. Processing may rely on contract performance, legal obligations and legitimate interests in service security and improvement, provided fundamental rights are not overridden. Marketing and optional cookies that require consent are not enabled without separate permission.

4. Sharing

When a retailer link is opened, the user visits that third party and its privacy terms apply. Data may be shared with hosting, database and security providers only as required to provide the service, or with competent public authorities where required by law.

5. Analytics cookies and Google Analytics 4

This site loads Google Analytics 4 only as an optional, consent-gated measurement tag. On every first visit the Google consent signals analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization are set to denied by default, so the Google Analytics 4 script is not requested and no analytics cookie is written. The tag is loaded only after you choose “Allow analytics” in the privacy banner. When it is enabled, Google Analytics 4 writes the first-party cookies _ga and _ga_<measurement-id> (default expiry two years) to distinguish visitors and sessions; the advertising signals are explained in section 6. Your own choice is remembered in the first-party cookie fpsadvisor_analytics_consent (one year), which is not an analytics cookie. You can change or withdraw the choice at any time through the “Privacy choices” button shown on every page; rejecting analytics does not restrict access to the service. If no measurement ID is configured for the deployment, neither the banner nor any analytics request appears at all.

6. Advertising and Google cookies

If advertising is enabled, third-party vendors including Google may use cookies from this or earlier visits to serve, limit and measure ads, prevent fraud and, only where valid consent exists, personalize advertising. The privacy panel provides accept, reject and withdrawal controls on every page. You can also disable personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings (non-personalized ads use no advertising profile) or opt out from participating vendors through YourAdChoices. Refusing or withdrawing optional advertising consent does not restrict access to the service. Advertising scripts load only on content pages; they are not loaded when legal, contact or admin pages are opened directly. If a content page was opened earlier in the same visit, the already-loaded script may stay active during in-site navigation until the page is reloaded. Google consent signals for advertising are denied by default and set to granted only if you choose “Allow analytics” in the panel; without that choice we request non-personalized ads only. Our panel is not yet a Google-certified consent management platform, so for visitors in the EEA, United Kingdom and Switzerland Google may limit or not serve ads until one is in place.

7. Retention and security

Data is retained only for as long as necessary. Access control, signed outbound links, current software and backups are among the technical safeguards. Names, email addresses and IP addresses are not stored in the application’s retailer-click table.
